Welcome to Quarrydale United, a community football club, which places fun and development of players’ technical abilities at its heart, and all provided in a fun, friendly and safe environment.
The club has around 15 youth teams ranging from mini-soccer for six and seven-year-olds, right through the junior age groups to 16, playing and competing in local leagues against teams from across Nottinghamshire. We have two veterans’ teams and the club also has a Soccer School for 4-13-year-olds, which is held every Saturday morning, 9am-11am. More details can be found on our Facebook group (Quarrydale United Saturday Soccer School).
The club has been based at the Bentinck Miners Welfare ground in Kirkby in Ashfield for ten years and is an established FA Charter Standard club. This means you can be assured that all teams are coached by people who have passed the necessary background checks and have at least FA Level 1 coaching qualifications.
Each year, social events are held for everyone associated with the club with individual teams having their own team-building activities. A presentation weekend is held at the end of the season where all players are rewarded for their efforts. The club also works with several local charities and hosts events to raise funds for local causes.
Quarrydale United is always looking for boys and girls to come along and join us, as well as any willing volunteers. We’re always in need of enthusiastic coaches who would be interested in running a team for our club. Opportunities exist at any age and we would particularly like to recruit someone to develop girls’ football.
